The company is up and running!

The legal maneuvers involved took a bit longer than anticipated, but as of 11/23/2022, we’re officially registered as Grandpa’s Spirit Distillery LLC in Washington state in the US!

Why there? We considered a wide-range of countries as options, assessing a few criteria: feasibility of distilling alcohol, the clarity of the legal framework for doing so, customs fees and taxes, levels of corruption, as well as the availability of the grain needed to produce our products.

We found the US to be the best fit, especially Washington state in particular. We’re also interested to know if you all have recommendations for more suitable locations. Let us know on our Instagram.
